No bank login, no local access
FinStat is a remote service. It cannot browse your computer, your firm’s folders, or a client’s bank. It sees the documents your AI submits and nothing more.
Your staff already use AI. FinStat is the accounting tool your AI uses to do more: check a client’s books against the evidence, show you any view of the same facts, and close faster, every number sealed to its source. No limit on workspaces or clients. No seats. No monthly fee. Your AI does the work. You keep the review.

In your system of record, the account is chosen the moment a line goes in, and from then on the ledger is the record — so every second view of the same client is a reconciliation you maintain yourself. With FinStat, your AI can keep as many views of the books as the engagement needs, and they cannot drift apart, because they share one set of facts.
Each basis is a chart over the same transactions: cash and accrual, GAAP and tax, management and statutory. Adjustments are journal entries that belong to one chart. The cash-to-accrual and book-to-tax reconciliations are the difference between two views, produced on demand.
A new chart is a new view of the same evidence; nothing is re-keyed. Build the view in FinStat, review it, then post the result to the record. The same goes for scope: one quarter, one project or one fund, as a full, self-balancing set of books.
Every balance traces: chart rule, to transactions, to the sealed source statement. Not reconstructed for the audit. That is how the books are stored.
Your system of record maintains the books. FinStat checks them against the evidence.
Hand your AI a client’s QuickBooks Online export — or books FinStat built from the statements — and ask what is wrong with them. FinStat rebuilds the books, checks that the rebuild ties back to the export, and audits the whole set in two layers: exact controls computed in arithmetic, with no model involved, and findings that cite the entries they rest on, each checked against the books before it is reported. Every finding comes back as a question for the bookkeeper, with its evidence. Nothing in the client’s file is changed.
QuickBooks’ own sample company, audited from its export
An audit surfaces problems with their evidence; it does not certify their absence. It gives the reviewer a short list of places to look instead of a year to read.
The client’s file stays where it is. FinStat never connects to it. The work happens beside it, in the AI you already use.
The QuickBooks Online export zip, and the statements, receipts and invoices for anything the feed never reached. No bank login is involved.
Every statement proven against the bank’s balances and sealed, transfers paired, the same vendor recognized across accounts. Anything the evidence cannot settle comes back as a review item with a short list of choices, not a guess.
Ask for the difference from what the client’s file holds, a reclassified year, or the month closed. Post the entry to the system of record with its reason attached, or keep the books here as the client’s second set.
Clients ask for proof of AI data protection. FinStat’s answer fits on one screen.
FinStat is a remote service. It cannot browse your computer, your firm’s folders, or a client’s bank. It sees the documents your AI submits and nothing more.
Some AI connectors give an AI read-write access to a live QuickBooks company. FinStat works from documents and exports and leaves the client’s file untouched. Exports are files you choose to import.
FinStat records, reconciles, and reports. It holds no funds and connects to no payment rails. Destructive operations are marked in the tool catalog; everything else only reads.
Every Standard Document carries a content hash and seal, and an edited one is refused. Workspaces belong to the account that created them. Sign-in is OAuth 2.1 with no shared API keys.
The privacy policy and the subprocessor list are public, so you can put them in front of a client or an engagement letter as they are.
Staff
No shared logins. What a person can submit is what your file permissions already let them open, so payroll can stay in a restricted folder while someone else works from a reduced source set. Work moves between people as sealed Standard Documents, and any FinStat account can reproduce the books from the documents alone.
Clients
A client with their own FinStat account and AI can build and update their own books, then hand you sealed, source-tied documents. No shared credentials, and no access to your firm’s files.
