# FinStat

> AI-native accounting engine. Connect it from Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Cursor, Codex, or Perplexity on your computer, hand over statements, payouts, invoices, bills, and receipts; get review-ready books with every number tied back to its source.

FinStat is a remote MCP server, not a new accounting screen. You stay in your AI host. FinStat parses documents, matches deposits, posts balanced journals, reconciles, and reports.

## How it works

1. Create a FinStat account at https://console.finstat.ai. A free 1,000,000-token grant loads. No credit card.
2. On the computer where the AI agent runs, sign in to the same console account and open Connections. Choose the host and follow the exact setup instructions shown there. Advanced hosts can connect directly to `https://mcp.finstat.ai/mcp`.
3. Approve the connection when the host opens the browser authorization flow.
4. Hand over documents, or ask the AI to invent a sample year.
5. Ask for a P&L. FinStat does the parse, match, and post — balanced journals, source-tied lines, chart of accounts as a projection. The agent gets the numbers and writes the report. That is faster, cheaper, and more accurate than asking the agent to invent the books from PDFs.

The working test is on the home page (https://finstat.ai/#proof): invent a 2025 example, get the official IRS PDFs, show the form, then say "ok, do mine."

## Pricing

- First 1,000,000 tokens free after sign-in. No credit card.
- Then $30 per million tokens. Usage-based: pay for the work, not per seat.
